Snuggling with Pili!

This was how I found Jacob one morning last week when I went in to wake him up! :-)

Apple time!

Now that we can drive from our house to the other side of Mendon and beyond, we took advantage of the beautiful fall day and went apple picking at the Mendon Mountain Orchard.

Jacob filled his pockets to make sure we got our money's worth!

VT State Fair

This was the look on Jacob's face when he saw the giraffe! It stopped him dead in his tracks for a few minutes! LOL!

Later he started saying the giraffe was cute and came back to visit it up close.

He was never too thrilled with the goats... but liked saying, "The donkey says ee-ah ee-ah!"

They both enjoyed look at the tractors.

Jacob's favorite was the bunny rabbits...

... and of course the chickens!

The Fair

At the last second we decided to go the the Vermont State Fair on the afternoon of the last day! We started to "hike" across since we still can't drive to Rutland when a very nice man gave us a golf cart ride all the way up to the Kierstein's to get our car. Jacob went on his first fair rides~ some all by himself! He rode the merry-go-round with Ted, drove a big rig, a bumper boat, a spots car, and flew a plane. WOW! Our baby is really growing up!

Hurricane Irene

Jacob prepares for the storm by mowing the lawn, while Dada relaxes!

Mr. Potato Head loves Papa's green beans!

He's already learned to unlock my iphone! (notice the rain out the door... almost 11.5 inches in 24 hours!)
