Snow and Ice!

Snowmobiling, snow blowing  snow angels  ice skating  and ICE CREAM .. it's all fun!

This was Jacob's second time ice skating this year.  He stepped, actually jumped, onto the ice and took off with so much confidence with his crate that he fell smack on his butt and cried.  After we dried the tears he got up and started racing back and forth.  By the end he was going across the rink on his own with no crate or hand holding!

Jacob is now 3 years and 10 months old.  He's had some big accomplishments this past week... We took the rail off his bed and he is no longer wearing pull ups at night!  He's been dry for quite a while at night so I figured it was time.  So far, so good!

Yesterday was our first parent-teacher conference with Mrs. Hamilton at Grace Preschool.  She said he was a wonderful little boy who is kind, polite, and plays well with his friends!  :-)  He doesn't always pay attention during group time (friends are more interesting!) but he's taking it all in (we have to play school at home and he's the teacher!).  He's learning his letters, sounds, numbers, rhyming, and is proud that he can write his name!  We're proud of you too, Jacob!

This morning we are off to try a new gymnastics class... the next level up with 4 and 5 year olds!  We'll see how that goes.  Then it's Gramp Crippen's 80th birthday party.  Jacob made him a Frosty the Snowman cake!
