Jacob = kid= santa lover

Can it be true? At nearly 9 months, Jacob can already point out Santa!
Tomorrow Jacob has a play date at the pool with two friends, Ruby and Ari. Hopefully they all have fun splashing. Then Ted and I are going to dinner while Jacob stays for the first time with his very pretty babysitter, Kimmai. Hopefully there will be no tears! And Saturday is breakfast with Santa at my school followed by a trip to Burlington to go Christmas shopping. A real family fun day! I have a feeling December is going to go fast! It's my last month of working two days per week... in January I'll be back full time. Sunday I'd like to get our Christmas tree. I think Jacob will like the lights. He likes to just look at the figure of Santa that I put by his jumperoo chair. If you ask him where Santa is when he's sitting there, he turns and looks at him. Such a smart boy!

Gobble! Gobble!

My first Thanksgiving dinner... Too bad my mama forgot the camera!

The three of us (four with Pili) went to Grammie and Papa's in Shrewsbury for dinner. Thanks mom for a great meal! Everything was perfect and we had an awesome time. The boys had fun playing. They really love each other... most of the time! We should be hungry again some time next week. I think I'll cook our turkey Friday. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks Zach for the overall for Jacob. He has them on today. They are very cute but he won't be wearing them for long... they barely fit around his waist! The size on them MUST be wrong! :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for this year, and every year... family and friends, health, food, home, the earth, and this great country we are so fortunate to live in! We are heading down to my parents later on for a feast. I made two pumpkin pies yesterday (one for us to keep here). I am definitely the worst crust maker in the world. I don't know why I can't seem to roll it out and get it into the pie plate without it falling apart. It is so frustrating! I decided I better taste it before bring it to dinner so I just had a little piece for breakfast. It was a good way to start Thanksgiving day! :-)
I hope everyone has a wonderful day! I will post some pictures of our not so little turkey later today!

Ahhh, Monday is over, or the work day part any way. I picked Jacob up a little after 3 to find him asleep. I hate waking him. Luckily he fell right back to sleep in the car and didn't wake when I carried him in to his crib. Now I'm relaxing for a second, hoping Ted will bring home takeout!

We had a good weekend. Friday was the last day of swimming lessons. He just loves the water. Then Ted's parents came over for dinner to celebrate his mom's birthday. Saturday we did a few errands in Rutland and then helped Ted with the deck railing (we were very helpful!). Sunday we went to my parents for the afternoon. We went for a nice walk and picked out a Christmas tree next door to my parents. Jacob had been great but something wasn't right when he woke up crying from his nap Sunday afternoon. I don't know what was wrong, but for the rest of the day I guess he didn't feel good. He seems fine today. We'll see when he wakes up.

I'm working again tomorrow, then not til next Tuesday! I'm going to have to get used to working five days per week because January is going to be here before I know it. I wish I didn't have to but I said I would, so I will. But I will also keep buying Powerball tickets! :-)

On the move!

Jacob was just laying on his belly practicing his roll overs when he figured out how to move backwards and went three feet in reverse! Let the fun begin. Guess we better start thinking about baby proofing. But where to start?!
